We convert low-value forest and plantation residue into premium hardwood with the look, feel and properties of 100-year-old timber.
At the heart of our technology is a patented process using a water-based, formaldehyde-free “nano glue”. Thanks to this biomimicry process, the practice of imitating substances found in nature, we enhance and create the structure of a natural tree in just a few hours.
Growing trees in a machine!
The perfect match between innovation and timber tradition!
Resuwood® is founded by the family van Hoorebeke, active in wood import for 8 generations, in collaboration with 3RT Technology.
We take abundantly available juvenile plantations resources (pulp logs), originally used for low-value woodchips, and repurpose them to create high-value timber. In doing so, we fulfil the demand for low-carbon, toxin-free building materials, reduce native forest depletion and help to secure the reliability of global supply chains.
